Abstract

The presence of scientists and researchers has become increasing on social networking sites. The presence of

scientists and researchers has been increasing in social networking sites. The Internet is a tool for access to information, a

tool for sharing, monitoring and sharing with others, thanks to the great capabilities and the widespread use of these

networks to extend to the field of education and scientific knowledge.

Today, many scientific research centers use social networks to disseminate their research and achievements to a wider

audience. It is also used to develop the learning process through a participatory approach between researchers and science

students in building scientific knowledge and re-arousing interest in receiving knowledge. Thus, social networks will serve

as virtual environments for the dissemination of scientific culture for wide use, which has been limited to the narrow

scientific community.

This environment is meant to interact with science-related topics so that the achievements of science can be understood by

the wider public. this leads to what we can call "citizen science" - a process that will make knowledge of science an

essential component of citizenship in its new dimensions.
