Security and Military Companies in Conflict Areas

Abstract

The paper discusses the scope of domain of security and military companies, and the impact of their presence on the stability and security of societies and countries through examining the cases of Azeri-Armenian conflict and the conflict in Libya. It concludes that it is likely that the private security market in the region will grow at strong rates in the coming period, especially in light of the escalating political and security pressures in the region.
