Abstract

Since the September 11 attacks, the event has been closely linked to Saudi Arabia, especially since fifteen out of the nineteen who carried out the attacks are Saudis. Hence, from the beginning, Saudi Arabia tried to deal with this historic event and absorb anger and resentment which was prevalent in the United States, especially that the White House attempted to exploit these events to blackmail Saudi Arabia, but the Saudi Foreign Ministry succeeded to manage the file calmly and get out of it with minimal losses, because the Saudi and US parties need each other. So, the crisis has been overcome and they moved forward in strategic relations that have been established since 1945 in the famous meeting between King Abdul Aziz bin Saud and US President Roosevel.
